thanks to all for coming out last night. we had a great time. tommy farha's is such a nice bar to start events from, great people. i would have to say the highlight of the event was at the park later in the evening. we had tons of beer, and the park to ourselves. we had some nice short sprints on a short downhill section of the trail over a nice ramp, even got a little air off it. we also did some longer races around the whole walking trail. this part was especially tricky for those who didn't bring lights. once again, everyone who came had a fun time. i look forward to the next race

Frank Tuesday #3:16 "ride to christ"

the weather is warming and the sun is staying up later. this means it's time for more fun on bikes. to kick off the good season, i've come up with yet another fun event. this will be another multi-race event. the first race will be an individual race (like an alley cat). then we'll have at least one duo or team race.
Saturday, March 21st. meet at Tommy Farha's (8019 Wornall) at 6pm. we'll start around 7. i know this is not where we normally start, but, 75th st is too expensive. cheaper beer=more fun

things to bring with you: bike, writing utensil, bag, nutri-grain bar (optional but oh so tasty), money, and a lock if you want; you may have to leave your bike unattended for short periods

frank tuesday #1959 the duathalon (update)

now for the moment you've all been waiting for; the unveiling of time and place for this glorious event.
we will be meeting in the west bottoms at Connie's Genessee Inn at 7pm. address is 1615 Genessee St, Kansas City, MO 64102. we will depart from there at 8pm, giving everyone enough time to get a few drinks in them.

Frank Tuesday #1959 The Duathalon

the time has come, the first of many events has been decided.
this will be a two part race (hence the DUathalon)
the first part will be a drag race. those familiar with the frank tuesday spirit shall not be suprised that this is not only a drag race; go as fast as you can in a straight line for a relatively short distance, but also a race that shall be done in drag. that's right fellas, time to get out your pretty skirts or bikinis and show them off. although dressing in drag is not required, you will lose drastic points and have no chance of winning.
the second part of this glorius evening will be chariot racing. some may remember this from a couple years ago, great fun. for those of you who missed it, just picture charlton heston in ben-hur, only with bikes instead of horses. the chariots will be provided, all you need is a bike and a strong will.
now that you are all super excited, i shall let you know that the date for this event will be Saturday, September 6th. start time and place will be announced soon
